Description: General Construction work for renovation of the existing building for consolidation of Town functions. This project consists of an interior build-out of 49,200 S.F. in the former retail Gander Mountain building for the New Hartford Consolidated Town Office. This includes the Town of New Hartford Offices, Town of New Hartford Police, and the Town of New Hartford Court. The project consists of demolition, general construction, mechanical, plumbing and electrical work. Exterior work includes new door and window openings in the existing precast concrete tilt-up panel system and roofing repairs. Bids shall be received until 11 AM, local time, on, September 6th, 2018 at the Town of New Hartford Supervisors Office, 48 Genesee Street, New Hartford, NY where they will be publicly opened and read. Bidders will be notified 10 days after bid opening of selection. Bidders may obtain a copy of the Bid Documents from the ARCHITECTS office, GYMO D.P.C., 18969 US Route 11, Watertown, NY 13601, (315) 788-3900, Attn: Lindsey Pelkey, for the deposit amount of $50.00, checks made payable to GYMO, D.P.C. The plan deposit will be refunded to Bidders who return the Bidding Documents in good condition within ten (10) days after receipt of bids. The Bidders will receive a set of Construction Documents including plans and specifications. It is strongly recommended that all Bidders visit the site and thoroughly familiarize themselves with the conditions of the work. Questions regarding the project must be submitted in writing and will be accepted until one week before the bid opening. Proposals in excess of $100,000 must be accompanied by either a Bid Bond issued by a surety company which shall insure the Owner to the extent of ten percent (10%) of the Proposal or a certified check to be used by the Owner to insure the Owner in lieu of a bid bond to the extent of five percent (5%) of the Proposal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the OWNER. The General Municipal Law of the State of New York requires that bidders certify, under penalty of perjury, that bids have been prepared without collusion with other bidders, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. This certification is included within the Bid Form.
