CITY OF DERBY FIRE DEPARTMENT
INVITATION TO BID
The City of Derby is soliciting bids from qualified vendors for a new Heavy Rescue Truck for the Storm Engine Co. Ambulance Corps. Specifications and instructions can be obtained by sending an email to Patty Finn at pfinn@derbyct.gov or may be viewed at the Finance Office, Derby City Hall, 1 Elizabeth Street, Derby, CT 06418. Sealed bids clearly marked “Heavy Rescue Truck” must be received at Derby City Hall Finance Department, 1 Elizabeth Street, Derby, CT 06418 on or before 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2019, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Joan Williamson Aldermanic Chambers.
Bids shall only be considered from companies that have an established reputation in the field of fire apparatus construction and have been in business for a minimum of 20 years.
The City of Derby reserve the right to reject any and all proposals and reserves the right to waive any informality and/or defect if it shall deem it in the best interest of the City of Derby to do so.
