Bid Opening Info: Sealed bids are invited and will be received by the City of Derby Finance Committee, Derby City Hall, 1 Elizabeth St., Derby, CT 06418, to be submitted no later than 12:00 p.m. on August 29, 2019 for the sale of real estate located at Roosevelt Drive – Parcel ID 12-5 3. Bids received after this date and time will not be accepted. Please indicate on the front of the sealed envelope “Roosevelt Drive - Parcel ID Map 12-5 3.”. The bids will then be opened and publicly read.

Description:

Sealed bids are invited and will be received by the City of Derby Finance Committee, Derby City Hall, 1 Elizabeth St., Derby, CT 06418, to be submitted no later than

12:00 p.m. on August 29, 2019 for the sale of real estate located at Roosevelt Drive – Parcel ID 12-5 3. Bids received after this date and time will not be accepted.  Please indicate on the front of the sealed envelope “Roosevelt Drive - Parcel ID Map 12-5 3.”.  The bids will then be opened and publicly read.

The property will be subject to a deed restriction in favor of the City of Derby, which provides the property may not be used for zoning purposes to increase coverage or density on any adjoining property.

The requirements for submission of such bid is a minimum bid of $2,500.00 and a deposit of ten percent (10%) of the bid price shall be submitted with the bid.  The property is to be sold "as is" “where is”, and subject to all easements of record, the rights of egress and ingress, if any, and to any rights and obligations as provided by law.  The transaction cannot be subject to finance contingency; contracts for the sale shall be executed within twenty (20) days of acceptance and award by the Board of Aldermen, and the closing shall occur within thirty (30) days of acceptance and award.

The Bid shall contain acknowledgement of said conditions. All bids shall contain the name, address and phone number of the Bidder.

After the bids are received and opened, the Board of Aldermen may analyze whether bidders have submitted comparable bids and which of the bids meet the requirements as herein mentioned. In reviewing the bids, the Board of Aldermen shall have the sole discretion as to the acceptance bid. The Board of Aldermen for the City of Derby reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any defects in the same.
