Qualifications: All bidders shall hold a current “DAS Contractor Prequalification Certificate (not a predetermination letter) from the Department of Administrative Services (hereinafter DAS) of the State of Connecticut in accordance with Connecticut General Statute Sections 4a-100, and 4b-91(a). The required DAS prequalification classification for this project is ROOFING. Bidders shall submit with their bids, unless noted otherwise, a “DAS Contractor Prequalification Certificate” along with a current “Update (bid) Statement.” Any bid submitted without a copy of the DAS Prequalification Certificate and an Update (Bid) Statement shall be invalid. Special Requirements: A bid bond in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid shall accompany each bid package. A performance and a labor and material bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the accepted bid will be required. The cost of the bonds must be included in the bid price. Contractor must also include an $11,000 contingency in the bid. The bid submitted must be accompanied by the original bid and two (2) copies.
