LEGAL NOTICE

Teaneck Fire Department – Station 4

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received, opened and read in public by the Township Purchasing Agent (hereinafter called the Owner), in the Municipal Building Council Chambers on January 20th, 2022 at 1:00 PM prevailing time or as soon as thereafter as the matter can be reached for: Teaneck Fire Department – Station 4.  Sealed bids can be forwarded to the Township Purchasing Agent by mail, messenger, courier, overnight service or by hand at the Teaneck Municipal Building, 818 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ 07666, c/o Township Clerk. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids and to reject any and all bids it is in the best interest of the Owner to do so.

All work incidental thereto, including but not limited to the Teaneck Fire Department – Station 4 and as required in accordance with the Project Manual.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting shall be held on January 4th ,2022 at 11:00AM at the Teaneck Fire Department – Station 4, 1375 Windsor Road, Teaneck, NJ 07666.

The Bid Documents may be obtained directly from the Architect’s office as an electronic PDF document.  Bidders must request bid documents via email at office@aiarchs.com.  All questions regarding the project should be directed to the Architect and received in writing only via email to: office@aiarchs.com.

Bidders electing to receive the specifications from a third party, or any other service or entity assume the responsibility of ensuring they receive any issued revisions or addenda.

Bids must be accompanied by a guarantee in the amount of 10% of the bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond.

Bids must be accompanied by consent of surety regardless of whether a check or Bid Bond is submitted.  The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish an acceptable Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond prior to contract execution.  All Bonds and consents of Surety must be written by Surety Companies listed in the most recent Circular No. 570, United States Department of the Treasury.

Bidders must be authorized to do business in New Jersey.  Any Bidder which is a corporation not chartered under the laws of the State of New Jersey, must submit an affidavit certifying that said corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey.

Bidders must be registered with the Department of Labor and are required to comply with the requirements of Public Law 1999, c.238, “The Public Works Contractor Registration Act”, which became effective on April 11, 2000.

Bidders, their subcontractors and suppliers, must comply with the New Jersey Business Registration requirements.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of Public Law 1975, c. 127 which pertains to "Non-Discrimination" and "Affirmative Actions", and Public Law 1977, c. 33, which requires a Statement of Corporate Ownership.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
