Sealed bids will be received, opened, read aloud by the Township Purchasing Agent in the Township of Teaneck, Municipal Building, Council Chambers, 818 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ 07666 in the County of Bergen and State of New Jersey on Tuesday August 3^rd, 2021 at 1:00 PM prevailing time for:

ROOF AND MASONRY REPAIRS AT MUNICIPAL BUILDING

TOWNSHIP OF TEANECK

BERGEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY

The work to be performed under this contract includes the following:

Roof and Gutters replacement and restoration, roof drains, sidewalk where required and incidental work related to the project.

Principal items of work in the project include:

• Roof Replacement
• Built-in Gutter Restoration
• Terra Cotta Repointing
• Parapet Repairs
• Scupper and Downspout Installation
• Subsurface Drain Piping

Specifications, drawings and proposal forms are on file at the office of the Township Engineer, 818 Teaneck Road, New Jersey 07666 and can be requested by calling 201-837-1600 ext.1729, between the hours of 8 am to 5pm Monday thru Friday, or by e-mail at fgilani@teanecknj.gov.

Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Teaneck, Municipal Building, Council Chambers, 818 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ 07666 in the County of Bergen and State of New Jersey on Tuesday July 27^th, 2021 at 1:00 PM prevailing time.

Bids will be accepted in the following ways:

1. Bids will be received at the hour and on the date specified above. Bids submitted at this time shall be addressed to Farah Gilani, Teaneck Township Engineer, C/O Township Clerk, Township of Teaneck 818 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, New Jersey and shall satisfy all previously mentioned requirements.
2. Bids can be mailed:  All mailed bids shall be addressed to Farah Gilani, Teaneck Township Engineer, C/O Township Clerk and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope:
    

 “Bid for Roof and Masonry Repairs at Municipal Building”

All mailed bids shall be mailed employing a formal mail receipt procedure such as Certified Return Receipt and shall also satisfy all of the above requirements.

3. Bids can be hand delivered prior to the date or hour specified. In this case, the bids shall be delivered to Farah Gilani, Teaneck Township Engineer, C/O Township Clerk, Township of Teaneck 818 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, New Jersey and shall also satisfy all of the above requirements

It is the Bidder’s responsibility to make sure that the bid is submitted on time and to the proper location

The work shall be completed within 90 consecutive calendar days from the execution of the contract.

“Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A 10:5-31 et. seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq.”

All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days except as may be permitted by N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3.
