Sealed bids will be received, opened, read aloud, and available for viewing by the public via live streaming using the following web address www.teanecknj.gov/bid-openings, by the Township Purchasing Agent in the Township of Teaneck, Municipal Building, Council Chambers, 818 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ 07666 in the County of Bergen and State of New Jersey on Tuesday May 4th, 2021 at 1:00 PM prevailing time for:

 

 

2020 ROADWAY RESURFACING PROGRAM

TOWNSHIP OF TEANECK

BERGEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY

 

The work to be performed under this contract includes the following:

Roadway milling and resurfacing of multiple roads in the Township of Teaneck, reconstruction of handicap ramps according to ADA standards, replacement of concrete vertical curb and sidewalk where required, and traffic striping.

 

Principal items of work in the project include:

 

• 75,000 SY             HMA Milling, 3” or less
• 12,500 Tons                      2” Hot Mixed Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course
• 7,000 LF                            9“x18” Concrete Vertical Curb
• 1,300 SY                           Concrete Sidewalk 4” thick

 

Copies of plans, specifications and bid documents may be obtained upon payment of $100 nonrefundable payable to Fastech Consulting Engineers, either by mailing a check to Fastech Consulting Engineers, 235 Moore Street, Suite 103, Hackensack, NJ 07601 or by filling a request form at http://www.fastech-eng.com. Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications.

Bids must be received no later than 12:00 Noon on May 4th, 2021 and will be accepted in the following ways:

1. Bids can be dropped-off in person via the tax payment drop box located to the right of the Municipal Building North Entrance double glass doors, located at 818 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ 07666. Bids submitted at this time shall be addressed to Simona Casian-Sirbu, Teaneck Township Purchasing Agent, and shall be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope:

2. Bids can be mailed:  All mailed bids shall be addressed to Simona Casian-Sirbu, Teaneck Purchasing Agent, Township of Teaneck, 818 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, New Jersey 07666 and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope:
    

           “Bid for 2020 Roadway Resurfacing Program”

 

It is the Bidder’s responsibility to make sure that the bid is submitted on time and to the proper location.

The work shall be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed.

“Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A 10:5-31 et. seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq.”

All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days except as may be permitted by N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3.
