Description: Sealed bids for the City of Derby 2015 Road Bond Project – Phase 5 will be received by the City of Derby at the Finance Office, 1 Elizabeth Street, Derby, CT 06418 until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 after which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Joan Williamson Aldermanic Chambers on the 2nd Floor. No bids will be accepted after said date and time.
Qualifications: The minimum rates to be paid labor of the various classifications shall be in accordance with current Federal and State requirements and schedules, as revised. Note: Surety Company Bond, on a form furnished by the City of Derby, for at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, must accompany each proposal; certified checks will not be accepted. The City of Derby reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informality in bidding if it is determined to be in the best interest of the City of Derby.
Misc. Info: Note: Bids may be held by the City of Derby for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders prior to awarding the contract.
Pre Bid Meeting: A MANDATORY pre-bid construction meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Derby City Hall, Joan Williamson Aldermanic Chambers (2nd Floor)1 Elizabeth Street (2nd Floor) Derby, CT 06418.
